Trinidad Old Fashioned

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 dash Peychaud’s Bitters
  • 5 drops Bittermens Tiki Bitters
  • .25 oz orgeat
  • .25 oz demerara syrup
  • 2 oz Jung & Wulff Trinidad
  • Dimi rinse (with atomizer)
  • Lemon twist (discarded)
  • Pineapple leaf

DIRECTIONS

  • To a mixing glass, add Peychaud’s Bitters and Bittermens Tiki Bitters, then orgeat, demerara syrup, and finally rum
  • Add ice last, and stir
  • On a chilled old fashioned glass, use an atomizer to spritz Dimmi liqueur on the inside of the glass. Using a julep strainer, strain contents of mixing glass into the chilled, aromatized old-fashioned glass
  • Pinch the lemon peel to express lemon oil over the surface of the cocktail. Use same peel and pinch two more times on the exterior of the glass along the rim, then discard
